Storytelling ~ Daydreaming ~ Stargazing
favorite childhood pastimes, prepared the way for what
was ahead. Drawn to the arts, Dominique wrote stories illustrated by her sketches, designed and sewed her
clothing with apprenticeship in making doll fashions and acquired the skills of embroidery, crochet and knitting.
At the age of nine she successfully assembled her first hand knit sweater to keep warm during ice-skating festivities.
As many creative skills became more apparent and she more inquisitive, it was then that her quest extended to other traditions, arts and cultures of the world.
Dominique perused a substantial sum of literature.
She attended seminars and participated in study courses, including three years of
the Latin language, recounting the ancient origins of civilization, its artifacts and
industrial practices. The extensive portrayals allotted historical as well as mythological insights. Weaving and knot tying is one such measure that lingered in her mind,
becoming a significant concept entwined within her own designs.
A sojourn of coincidences aroused enough interest persuading her to engage in tête-à-têtes with various gifted torchbearers, gleaning much knowledge from their wisdom. These intriguing mystical encounters transposed her curiosity into the realm of Immortal Beings.
Seduced by the legendary lore of
Gods and Goddesses divine inspiration blossomed.
The essence of Dominique Rose unfolds a sensuous passion reflected
in her alluring creations,
to be cherished eternally
